Creating the outdoor kitchen for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2023

It’s all systems go at KönigOutdoor HQ, creating the outdoor kitchen that will feature in the Savills Garden at this years RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Here is a sneak peak behind the scenes of how we create our bespoke outdoor kitchens.

Firstly the weatherproof composite board is crafted to create the internal framework for the cabinetry, with door hinges and drawer runners added on.

Now to the stone fabrication facility, to turn a slab of sintered stone into panels, door fronts and a worktop. The stone is cut to size on the saw then cut outs for the sink and hob are added by the CNC machine. The worktop features a built up edge so two pieces of stone are seamlessly joined together and hand finished to create the illusion of a thicker worktop.
